Tho second day. of the Feilding ■ Jockov Club's Spring Meeting passed off ve'rv successfully, despite the un- ' pleasant wind which played tricks'in : all kinds of weird '.vny-'. during this course of the day. Tho top-weights : could not act against it, and in only on© instance was tho toi>-w<?u_ht successful. The exception was Acre, who I was made a good favoiirite in the, Oroua" Stake*, the winner putting up a meritorious performance. Mr. Guy Goodbehere and his staff worked hard to onauro a .successful gathering. Tho sum of i.'3£>,994 was put through tho machine, making a record for the two dava of £76,013, which is probably a record for a: Spring meeting. There wero only one or two minor Lr.ppeiv inn thftt called for enainr;.- by stipendiary steward. Well-back od Loisos wore more successful than on *ho rirst 'dr.T. which tended to increased speculation*. Moutoa Ivanova won the Manchester Handicap practically from end to end, her light weight Assisting her when" running homo against the wind. On the whole tho starting was not up to standard, but there were a number of fractious animals to rnana„e. Mr. Jack Cameron was again prompt in giving his decisions, and as a judge has proved a great success. There was not a large attendance of the public, though there was plenty ot money for speculation, Saturday's total being eclipsed by nearly £4000. The caterine for the two days was in tho capable hands of Messrs. Dick, Lindsav and Haines, and was well carried out. YORK-STAKES (Handicap), £200. Ermine was momentarily in charge, when Carniel Arch took up tho running, Jutland being in the rear division. Admyra .was in front across the toy>, whore Jutland moved up. The favourite Was first into the straight, where Esthouia came through; • i<nd passing the leaders went on to win by nearly two lengths. Jutland passed Admyra 30 yards from the post, but the .Soll'erino fdl.v came again and got second money by a nose. Ermine wa3 fourth. Time. 1.29.

In the run te the nost Hushabye won easily by throe lengths. LepAhto wa.s fourth. Time, 2.50. CHELTENHAM HURDLES (Handicap), £200. One mile nnd three-quarters. I—Mr. F. S. Ihe latter went off at the first obstacle. The order was unchanged past the stand, but round the. back • Alaraetotara moved into second jdr.ee. Gang Awa' sailed round into tlig straight with a good lead and strolled home by four lengths, six lengths between sovond and third. Time, 3.25.
NIKAU HACK HANDICAP £150. Six furlongs.

Nursing Sister, and Ruddy were out first, the rest strung out, with Vance turned the wrong way. Ruddy displaced tho first-named and led to tlie straight entrance, where Swanee Kiver took charge. The filly held her own iv the run home and won by 1_ .engths. Couziska came very fast over tho last 50 yards, beating Nursing Sister for place-money. Time, 1.17.
MANCHESTER HANDICAP, £300. One mile and a quarter.

Moutoa Ivanova, Demos nnd Marquetour led past tho stewards', .stand out of the straight and round the back. The leading position wero practically unchanged to the straight, where Athens 11. closed up. Moutoa Ivanova easily held her own and beat Mariiueteur by two lengtlis, whilst Athens 11. was a head in front of Demos. The favourite toiled in the rear with Scornful and Tressida. Time, 2.10 1-5.

The favourite drew a had marble, and was badly placed , round tho back, hut ran up nn; iJio j outer into the straight. Valley Rose i easily held her own in tho run homo r and won by" a length.
