TROUBLE IN -EGYPT.
A DARK OUTLOOK. (Aus.-N.Z. Cable Association.) Cairo, April 21. Tho Times correspondent learns from reliable sources that the appearance of restored quietude is only superficial. Tho provincial natives at present seem to submit, but outbreaks will recur immediately if tho troop 3 are withdrawn. Cairo serves as tho nerve centre of the agitation of a cliquo of lawyers, students and Azharites who inspire and direct the ferment over the whole country. Motor cycling agents aro isoiit out, and a succession of troubles niark their trail ovorywhere. Only lo per cent of the native officials have resumed work in Cairo. Secret intimidation of the remainder persists despite, warnings. The Government still delays threatened drastic action which is übviouslj nnavoidablo.
