Premier Hohnau states that tho increases in the p.ico of coal under tho Commonwealth control will invo ye an additional payment of £1,000,000 per annum by New South Wale* consumers, and that the State Govern mout has instituted an enquiry 1<o•"uiso of tho threat, that by arrangemont between the employers and cmto make these extra payments. Melbourne, May 2. Acting-Premier Watt has announced that for the present the coal controlling regulations will ho confined to New South Wales. TTLYDE LOSSES OWING TO INFLUENZA Sydney, May 2. The Government has appointed a Committee to investigate and report upon the claims for compensation owing to the loss of trade following upon influenza restrictions. PAPER CONTROL ABOLISHED Melbourne, May 2. The Federal Government has repealed tho regulations controlling the consumption of paper.
