The Department of AgricuJeure has held its first sale of. pedigree Ayrshire stock at the Mouniahaki Slate i''aiiu,.aiid it is said that the display was the best of that bred of cattle ever seen iv the Dominion. In all, 13 head were sold. The highest price, •JSgus., was paid by Air X Mills, ot Hau-uru, for Ayres ill., whilst Mr At. Law ton, of Waiuku, paid 50gns. for Doiiiiiiion Fcnwick Maggie. The average for the IS head, which included a largo number of calves, was 2Ugus?.
