McCLOUCHRY'S DAY OUT

HE FOUGHT SEVEN FOKKERS

London, October 29. ° Captain J. McCloughry, of Adelaide, who is connected with the 4th Australian Flying Squadron, has been awarded the D.S.O. He has destroyed 14 aeroplanes and balloons since June 4, and recently derailed a train eas of Lille.

He attacked and downed a twoseater, and afterwards fought seven fqkkers till he was wounded in the hip and thigh, his ammunition was exhausted, and his petrol tank pierced. He regained our lines.in a semiconscious condition.

During the last three months McCloughry's squadron has destroyed 78 aeroplanes and 20 balloons.
