FOR DEMOBILISATION

SOME OFFICERS TO GO HOME

In connection with the demobilisation of Dominion troops in England, it is proposed to send home a number of trained officers, who will travel on the outrcoming transports, to assure that every man Avill be able to get away to his home as soon as the ship arrives in New Zealand. The Minister of Defence states that a trained staff from the Records Department, including trained adjutants, would be required for the work, and they would be employed permanently going to and fro with the transports. The work on board would deal with employment cards, pay, pensions, medical examination, and so on.
