Prince Frederick of Waldeck, a minor German principality, with an area of 438 square miles, and a population of 61,707, has abdicated. Prince Adolphus, of SchaumburgLippe, a principality, with an area of 130 square miles and a population of 46,626, has also abdicated. The Grand Duke Bernhard 11. of Saxe-Meiuingen, a duchy with an area of 945 square miles and a population of 278,792, has also renounced his throne, and a republic has been proclaimed.
