Tho weather was delightful for tho races, and there was a good attendance. The first tivo Avinners Avere OAvned by a South Australian. Lisnavcne, half-sister to Cetigne, ran a great raco for tho Linlithgow, but Wolaroi won in tbe last feiv strides, just defeating the favourite, Magpie. This' is Wolaroi's second win in this race.
Hurdles.—Miss Rosslyn (9.5) 1, Shadow Dancer (11.6) 2, Sir Carl (9.2) 3. Eight started. Won by a length, half a length di.'iding second and third. Time, 5.49 J.
Mimosa Stakes.— Lisnaveno (8.5) 1, Soxtia (7.12) 2, Milliemo (8.7) 3. Thirteen started. Won by three-quarters of a length, a length dividing the fiecand and third. Time, 1.144.
Linlithgow Stakes.—Wolaroi (9.2) 1. Magpie (8.13) 2, Outlook (8.0) 3. Five started. Magpie led slightly from Wolaroi till the half distance. Wolaroi won by a head, a length and a half separating second and third. Time, 1.39. Carnival Handicap.—Copesky (7.5) L Red Signal (7.13) 2, Men in (6.9) 3. Eleven started. Won by a head. Time, 2.53. Oaks Stakes.—Stage Girl (8.10) 1, Princess Lucy (8.10) 2, Fungoid (8.10) 3. Eight started. Princess Lucy led in the early stages, but A.as caught at the distance. Won by half a length, three lengths between second and third. Time, 2.365. Equals previous record.
Veteran Stakes.—Lingle (9.2) 1, Eastcourt (7.13) 2, Parkdale (6.7) 3 Five started. Won by half a length Time, 2.37 J.
