The Admiralty announces that merchant ships built in the United .Kingdom, in Allied countries, and by neutral nations in the third quarter oi 1918 totalled 1,384,000 tons, of which the United Kingdom's output way 411,395 tons. The former figure exceeds the losses from all cailses by nearly 500,000 tons.

The United Kingdom's output in October was 136,0000 tons, making 1,311,000 tons since January 1, l l Jlb, compared with aa2,000 for the corresponding period of last year .
