REDMOND'S LEGION OF HONOR. [Reuters Telegram.] London, June 14. Major Redmond left a letter to his solicitor, dated last December: "If 1 die abroad I give my wife my last thought. I shall die a true Irish Catholic. I should like all tlie friends of Ireland to know that in joiniiv; the Irish Brigade and going to France I sincerely believed, like alt Irish soldiers, that- I was doing the best for the welfare of Ireland." France has conferred the Cross of the Legion of Honor on the late Major Redmond, M.P.
