HOSPITAL EXTENSIONS.
A meeting of the Hospital Board vas held in Palmerston yesterday to iirtcuss t.lfb proposals suggested by Dr. Whitakor for the reorganisation if the hospital buildings and grounds. There were present: Sir James Wilon (in the -chair), Mesdames Gill and v'rabb, Dr. Whirakor, Messrs J. A. Nash, J. K. Hornblow. H. H. Hunt, V. E. I'earce, D. A. Moodio, Smart. •I. H. Vincent, J. Bramwoll, C. Voss. ■:n<l G. W. Pearce. The matron (Miss McLsigan) and Drs. Peach and Put'lani were also in attendance. Mr Mramwell suggested a committee to i-hooso an architect, have plans prepared, and report at an early date. He moved in this direction, the committee to be Sir James Wilson, Dr. Whiltaker,. Messrs Nash, Hornblow, Uramwoll, and W. G. Pearce. Mr Floriiblow considered the work should Ik; put in the ordor of importance, so I hat if finances could not. ho arranged Tor all the work they could carry out portions in order of importance. He mguested, firstly, tho administrative building; secondly, the general ward; thirdly, the- maternity ward. This was included in the motion, which was carried.
