THE PROBLEM AT HOME
London, June 2G. Tlie Press Bureau states that Lord Rhondda, the new Director of Food, has decided on the more complete and strict control of foodstuffs, enforcing maximum prices and limiting profits at every stage of production and distribution. A Costings Department has been established in connection wilh the Food Ministry, to ascertain the cost of production and handling. The Ministry will then fix prices based on the actual cost, in addition to the normal pre-war profit.
