THE ITALIAN TREASON. ANGRY CROWD IN COURT
Rome, June 24. The evidence at the treason trial showed that in all the accused transmitted military secrets to an Austrian espionage centre at Lucerne. The trial in camera, occupied 56 sessions. The public were admitted to hear the reading of the sentence. The crowd in court broke into howls of vituperation as the prisoners were named. Pomariei. one of the traitors, was ordered to bo .shot through the hack', as an extra degradation. ■ '
