Hearty support was given by the Brooklyn School Committee at its last meeting to a proposal advanced by the Educational Institute (Wellington district), that the Education Act be so amended a.s to empower the teachers in each education district to elect a member to represent them on tho Education Board of the district. The committee endorsed the resolution, considering that it would lead to a better understanding by tho boards of technical matters, and would render more valuable tho advice tendered to I the boards by their experts.
