CHELTENHAM.

Tho annual school concert was a great success from all points of view. The. hall was well filled with an appreciative audience. The programme

was a lengthy one and well carried out by the children., assisted by Mr Billman, and party from Feildhig. who interspersed some instrumental ami vocal items in good stylo. Messrs D. H. McLean and J. Stuart came

along with the over-popular bagpipes in which they wore joined by Mr M. R. McEwon. Mr Frank Tappin also assisted in the vocal section. The item, "John Brown's Knapsack" was well done and brought an encore.

"Britannia and her Children" was splendid for dialogue and acting, the young people entering thoroughly into the spirit of the subject, which portrayed' the response of the various parts of the Empire to the Old Flag. Other popular items were a sailor song and "Tommy's Army." while

the infant squad sang a school piece, with very pleasing pfrect. Mr R. Barrow made a good chairman. After the. concert. suppCT was served and the proceedings finished with a dance.
