Duncdin. August IC. The Hon. James Allen states that New Zealand has a full division in the field, numbering over 20,000 men. They occupy the Ypres salient, formerly under the command of General Birdwood. but General Godley. Commandant of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force* is now commanding the Anzac Army Corps, including New /ealanders and a portion of Australians. The New Zealand division is under the command of General Sir A. H. Russell. General Birdwood has taken over,-a new command.

Chrifstelnirch. August 1.6. The lGth Reinforcements had an enthusiastic . reception on their march tlirough the city to-day. The towa was full of holiday-makers for the. Grand National Meeting. The streets were lined with thousands of cheering people. The troops marched from the station to Victoria Square, where they wei'e briefly addressed by the Mayor and Colonel ChaflW. They then marched back to the train and were sent south.
