CHORAL FESTIVAL FUNDS.

Mvs A. S. Lines Jones. President of the Ladies' Red Cross Sewing Guild, informed our representative to-day that she was very much surprised to learn, through yesterday's 'rt'i'Aii, that the Committee "in charge of tho Choral Festival lind decided to divert tho profits from < he Guild to another object. Right up to yesterday the public had been told tho funds wore to ro to the Sewing Guild, and numbers of people had bought tickets and helped in other ways on that understanding, and now the Festival Committee had changed their minds, i'ho Guild had not, been informed of any proposed alteration. In tho interests of the Guild it was only fair the public should bo mado aware of the diversion of the proceods.
