PRISONERS.
REPORTS ON THE WORKING CAMPS. [Australian-N.Z. Cable Association.] (Received July 24, 8.45 a.m.) London, July 23. Sir Edward Grey, in acknowledging American reports on conditions in German working camps for British prisoners, draws attention to the work in several camps which resembled war work; also to the case of Private .Eddington, who was struck - with a rifle in order to compel him to work while sick. The hours of work in most cases aro twelve in one camp and thirteen in others. Sir Edward Grey comments that the hours are excessive for indoors.
