London, April ill. Sir Percy Lake reports that troops south of liie Tigris on tbe 12th inst. forced back the eneinv's lines over a distance of from a, half to three miles, after crossing an inundated belt intersected by deep cuts.
The wafer from the marshes was driven into the enemy's trenches from the north-west by a gale at Sannyat, and the, enemy is taking refuge in v new position. The Turks wore heavily punished.
