Can'you sense it? The show season is wjth us. The Feilding festival for farmers is on right now. The folks from afar are already in ipivn- Tomorrow, from break of day, breeders and their assistants and the stewards will bo up to their eyes in the business of getting ready for the judges, who will have a hard time of it separating tho winners the ncarlywinners. For it is generally agreed that the-quality of the animals that arc entered in the various contests is of high class, and tho. places will bo keenly contested. Wednesday will be People's Day, #jid a big crowd from all tlie ends of this porpign the earth will be present—critics, students, and just holiday-makers. The season has beem a fat an<l flourishing time for ouf farmers, some .of whom have been so .extraordinarily busy in money-making operations jtlia-t they have not had cither time or inclination to prepare stock for to-mor-row's Show-—which, after all, w'4l fee held by some folks to be a goodenough reason for absence from the catalogues. Nevertheless, the. Show will undoubtedly provide a splendid ex>ibition of the products and produce of the Fejjding district and will prove a worthy representation of the pedigree stock of the West £toasr.
