Summary. — Moderate to strong southerly ivinds have predominated, avith cold and shoivery Aveather, especially in the north. Atmospheric pressure has increased in the south, but continues relatively loAver- in the north, apparently under the influence of a small cyclonic area Avestward of Auckland.
Forecast. —rPresent indications _ arc for cold and changeable conditions, Avith rain probable in the north and East Coast districts; Expect strong south to south-easterly Avinds generally, and barometer unsteady with a rising tendency. TO-DAY'S FORECAST.
Expect south-easterly winds strong to gale at times, but decreasing. The weather Avill probably prove cold and showery, and the night very cold Avith frosts inland, afterwards' improving. The barometer has a rising tendency.
