Hinds 8-Jd, fores 6|d. Butter. —This market is quiet, and may go lower. . Danish 148s to 150s, ■New Zealand 142s to 1445, Australian 138s to 140s, Siberian not quoted, Irish creamery (which the Government is buying for the army) continues at 140s to 1445, Argentine 138s to 140s. Cheese.—The market is very firni on account of the difficulty of obtaining sxipplies. Canadian of last season's make is cleared and this season's make is not yet available. The Zealand market is firm, and juices continue to advance, white and coloured being 98s to 100s. Cheese from the United States of America is clearing on arrival at 88s to 945, according to quality and size. English cheddar u> not quoted.

Hemp.—The market is quiet, with a tendency in favour of buyers. New Zealand good fair grade £32 10s, fair £30 lUs, fair current Manila £39, June to August shipment good fair £32, fair £30, fair current Manila £3s 10s. The output from Manila for last week was 28,000 bales.

Wheat.—The market is becoming more depressed on account of the very moderate demand. Nothing is olFering liere. May to June shipment 645, American July-August shipment 545, August : Septeinber shipment 53s 6d, Argentine on passage 635. Oats.—The market is' dull. There is very little -business doing. Argentine on spot 30s, May-June shipment 295.
