BOMBARDING.
IN RETURN FOR SNIPING
Athens, May 31. A pinnace from tho French warship Jeanne d'Arc, when reconnoitring village near Castolorizo, in Asia Minor, was fired .at by the inhabitants. Several of the crew were killed. The Jeanne d'Arc then bombarded and destroyed a number of villages, bjew up several benzine depots, and seized a cargo of benzine from a Turkish ship in the harbour.
