Sydney, November 26. Premier Holman says the Govern-, ment does not intend to introduce the Totalise tor Bill as a party measure. They may allow one of the Ministers or enable a private member to introduce it. While personally opposed to the totalieator, he said there seemed to be a fairly general desire for it.
As a result of the dock strike, some of the transports have been sent to Brisbane to be fitted out. The body found buried in the sand at Fishermen's Bend/Port Melbourne, has been identified as that of Him Fing, a Chinese cook, who was last seen m the company of some Chinese sailors on Monday night. Brisbane, November 26. Mr Milward, manager v of the Pacific Cable Company, has returned from Fanning Island. He states that the damage to the cable and property by the Germans amounted to.several thousands pounds. Everything has been restored.
Sydney, November 26. Ihe miners in two Newcastle collieries—Abermain and Stockton Borehole—have struck. The nature of the dispute is unknown. There is considerable unrest in other collieries and a disposition of miners to emoark in a general strike in resentment of the recent prosecutions.
