GREAT SHOOTING!

tLondon, August 7. The torpedo-boat destroyer Lance, Commander "W. de M. 3Jg«rton, R.N,, one of the latest British destroyers, was the ship which actually jsank the German mine-layer, Koanjgin Luise. The action took place about 60 miles from Harwich, and.the Lance fired only four shots. The first destroyed the bridge of tfte mine-layer and. the third and fourth tore away her stern. It ik stated that the ship sank in cix minutes. Every effort was made by the crew of the Lance to rescue the men of the Koenigin Luise, and 28 prisoners, some severely wounded, are now in Shotley naval barracks. None of the crew of the Lance received any injuries. The Admiralty state that a line of 'nines was probably laid by the Koeuigin Luise prior to her being sunk from Aldeburgh Ridge to latitude 52.10 N. long. 2.25 E. It was probably one of these mince which sunk the Amphion.
