MORE TALK OF EXCHANGE
SPECIAL TO SYDNEY BUN. London, March 20. Questioned in the House of Commons yesterday, Sir Edward Grey, Foreign Minister, said, that France had verbally informed * England that she ;was desired to discuss some means of adjusting difficulties arising from the nearness of French Colonies to British possessions in • India. This might possibly involve an exchange of territory. [Pondicherry is evidently the country referred to, as this is the only French territory in India. Tho population about 200,000. Poudicherry lie about 80 miles south-east of Madras, and is on the coast].
