LORD MURRAY'S DEALINGS

At the Enquiry by the House of Lords into the investment and loss of party funds while Viscount Murray was acting as Chief Liberal whip, Lord Murray gave evidence that he had commenced to make good the amount the Liberal Party had lost by his trusteeship, and had repaid the lose on the Marconi shares. Hβ would probably take several years to repay the "other £38,000, but the Liberal Party would get it. He could not defend his attitude in connection with Fenner, his accomplice, but did not proceed against him, in the hope of ultimately getting some of the money back.
(Received March 27, 10.25 a.m.) London, March 26. His accusers have withdrawn the allegation that Lord Murray used his influence as Chief Whip to get the Marconi contract settled without a discussion in the House of Commons.
