The engagement ha.s_7>cen announced of Dr. T. Campboli-Fraser (until recently one of the house surgeons at the Wellington Hospital, to Miss Dora Alexander, daughter oi' the Into Dv. Alexander, of Wellington, and who has relatives in Feildiiig. The failure of a debtor to ;idd oxchange to a cheque for an amount sued for, led the solicitor for the creditor to sue for the sixpence in the Court («ays the New Plymouth Herald). Judgment was given for this small amount, together with 5s Court costs aud 5g solicitor' fee.
