FLYING.
FATAL MEDDLING REVEALED. BY EI-ECTBIC TELKQBAPH—OOPYBIOHT. PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION. London, March 14. Lieut. Burroughs, who was reported to have been killed with Captain Allen whilst flying over Salisbury Plains, gave evidence at the inquest on Captain Allen that after an inspector had passed the constructed biplane the tube constituting the rudder of the car was weakened by somebody filing away through metal resulting from the welding.
Christchurch, March 14. A splendid exhibition of flying was given by Mr Scotland this afternoon. He rose at the showgrounds, volplaned over the city to Lancaster Park, and then returned to the starting point.
