FEILDING STOCK SALES. Abraham and Williams report, on their Feilding sale ■ yesterday : An exceptionally heavy yarding of both sheep and cattle. Stock was in keen demand, at prices slightly lower than last week. We managed to sell tlie most of our entry under the hammer. We quote: 4 and 5-year ewes 43s lid, 14s 2d, I4s lid, to 15s 4d,• 3 and 4.year owes 15s 4d, small 2-tooth ewes 14s to 14s 6d, cull ewes 2s 6d, 9s 2d, to 9s 3d, small wethers 12s lOd, lambs Signs, to 6gns., Lincoln rams -igns., Romney rams Jgn. to lgn., 3yr bullocks (p.a.) £8 9s, f. and f. cows £4 10s, 2-J-yr. steers £6 17s 6d, 18 mos.' steers .£3 13s 6d, lomos. heifers £2 15s, cows iii milk £5, weaner heifers (small) 16s, weaner bulls 22s 6d to 255, forward cows £3 lis.
The N.Z.L. and M.A. Co. report: heavy yarding of sheep and a good yarding of cattle. Ewes were easier, other classes of sheep making- up to late rates. We quitted the whole of our entry with the exception of two pens. Medium lambs, 7s, 7s sd, 9s; rape lambs, 10s 4d;* aged ewes, 6s, 6s 4d, to 7s 2d; s.m. ewes, 12s; 4yr. ewes, 13s 8d to 14s 6d; 2th ewes, 15s, 16s, to 16s 6dj good mixed age ewes, 17s; 2-th Romnev rams, 2-Jgns. Dalgety and Co. report having a very heavy yarding of sheep and a small entry of cattle at their Feilding sale yesterday. GORTON'S WEEKLY REPORT. During the past week our only sales were at Rongotea and Feilding. At Rongotea the yards were well filled, more sheep coming forward than usual. Competition was fairly good, and we quitted most lines. At Feilding a very heavy, yarding of sheep came forward. The sale opened well, but bidding slackened towards the finish, and several lots were unsold. The demand for breedingewes is now almost satisfied, and the market, except for superior lines, has a weakening tendency. In cattle we yarded some choice lots of Jersey cross weaner heifers, the entry from Mr J. Shirley making £3 4s, and from Mr Binns £2 Bs. Other classes sold up to late rates. FEILDING MARKET REPORT. A. H. Atkinson and Co. report: At their weekly sale yesterday, a small entry of poultry and a moderate yarding of pigs. Poultry sold at usual rates. For store pigs the demand has now considerably eased with the lessening of the milk supply. Poultry (per pair), cockerels (small) ls 6d, 2s, 3s 6d, and 3s 9d; chicks, ls 6d; pigeons, Is $ drakes, 4s; geese, 4s 9d, ss. Weaner. pigs (poor), 4s, 6s, 7s 6d, 8s; better sorts, 9s, 9s 3d, 10s; slips, 10s, lis, 12s 6d, 13s 6d; stores, 16s 3d, 20s;porkers, 27s 6d; good, 38s 6d. .Aged mare, £3. Tomatoes, 2s 3d, 2s 6d; pears, 2s 6d, 2s 9d; apples, 2s to 4s 9d; all at per case. Potatoes, '5s per cwt. Onions, per lb. in bag lots. Furniture and sundries as usual.
