Yesterday was a beautiful day in Feilding—cloudy in the morning with bright warm sunshine iv the afternoon. To-day opened cloudy, but close to noon a thunder and hail storm passed over the district. The Government Meteorologist telegraphed last night as follows:— Present indications are for strong southerly winds, veering to southeasterly breezes with showery and changeable conditions, but improving shortly. The barometer is unsteady at present, but has a rising tendency everywhere, an( l is likely to riso considerably in tho next 4S hours. Tho barometer has been very unsteady and , tho weather changeable in all parts of the country. A low pressure area, is now lying off East Cape, and southerly winds, strong to gale, prevail. i TO-DAY'S FORECAST. Tho Government Meteorologist telegraphed to-day : The indications are for southerly winds, strong to gale at times, but decreasing and veering by south to east. Weather probably cool and changeable, showery, but weather improving gradually. Barometer rising.
