TODAY'S CABLES.
TURKISH RETREAT
(Received October 30, 8.20 a.m.) London, October 29. The Turks, evacuating Kuprili and abandoning the railway line, have retreated towards Monastir. ADRIANOPLE.
Turks at Adrianople made a night attack on Thursday, the 24th. The
Bulgarians withheld their fire till next day. A reconnaissance showed that nearly 100 turks were killed by their own people. Bunarhissar forms a point in the outer line, and the Bulgarians are enveloping Adrianople. In the meantime __ovatcheff's army of the Rhodope is advancing along the Mestakakarasu valley. The country around Adrianople is inundated by the Maritza, Tundama and Arda rivers, as a result of the rains, which, is impeding the movements of the attacking lorce. Some foreign military authorities opine that Adrianople is possibly as vulnerable as Kirk Kilisse, inasmuch as though German oilicers planned tho fortifications, Turkish contractors constructed them, hence the possibility of their doubtful solidarity in resisting artillery fire. (Received October 30, 9.20 a.m.) Sofia, October 29. From Drama, the Bulgarians wrll proceed to Seres, where they will effect a junction with the column from Nevrekop, and the third force coming down the Struma valley . The Bulgarians hope to effect a junction near Salonika with the Greeks from Verna and the Servians who are coming by railway from Kuprili. All the Rhodope passes leading to Salonika and the Adrianople railway line are in Bulgarian hands. With tho capture of Babalski, the Bulgarians control the new railway from Babalski to Kirk Kilisse. j
