TURKS EXTERMINATE BULGARIAN BANDS.

It is officially stated that several thousand Bulgarian irregulars in the Djumaibala district (otherwise Jumaya) concentrated at Kresna Pass and burnt villages to prevent the Turkish approach. The Turks surrounded the bands and practically exterminated them. THE EIRE IHSSE BATTLE.

FIGHTING ON BTHiGARIAN FRONTIER. Sofia, October 23. It is officially stated that there has been terrific fighting to-day on the -whole of the Bulgarian frontier. The Bulgarians reached the river Arda and captured a redoubt westward of Adrianople. The Turks fled in disorder, leaving a hundred dead. TURKISH FORCE ANNIHILATED. Several advanced positions northward of Adrianople were captured, after furious fighting, the Turks fleeing precipitately, leaving many killed. When the fighting was at the heaviest, the north-east Turkish force made a sortie, but was annihilated. RECONNAISSANCE BY AEROPLANE.

Starting from Mustafa, an aeroplane made a flight in the direction of Adrianople. Turkish oiitposts failed to hit it, and after half an hour's reconnaissance, the aeroplane returned in safety. Bulgarian troops occupied vasmko, on the Black Sea, and are advancing along the coast towards Visa. Belgrade, October 23. It is officially stated that there has been severe fighting round the town of Novibazar, where the Servians occurjv commanding heights. Turks at Kirmanovo destroyed the chief bridge, and many smaller ones over the Maritza were also destroyed, but Servian sappers repaired them. The second army has occupied Straenica, halfway between Egripalanka and Kumanovo. BRITISH STEAMER SEIZED. Athens* October 23. I Greek torpedoes seized the British steamer Penjol, with a cargo of contraband. Constantinople, October 23.
