Messrs Dalgety and Co. -report a very good yarding of both sheep and cattle at their Taihape sale on Wednesday, _and a successful clearance. The bulk of the entry consisted of lambs, and for these competition was exceptionally keen, buyers being present from up the Main Trunk lino and along tho Wanganui river. Cull lambs made 3s 4d, 3s 7d to 4s Bd, small lambs 6s Id to 7s, small wether lambs to 7s lid, mixed lambs 9s, 9s 6d,'9s lOd, 10s id to 10s 2d, mixed aged ewes in lamb 9s 4d, 10s 2d to 10s 6d, small two and four-tooth ewes iii lamb 14s 2d, small two-tooth wethers to 14s; a line of extra good wether lambs sold on account of Mr A. R. Fannin realised lis 3d; small mixed weaners 28s, good mixed weaners 37s 6d to £2 10s 6d, 20-month steers £3 19s 6d, 2-'-year steers to£4 15s, store cows £2 4s 6d to £2 10s, fair condition cows to £3 15s, dairy cows £5 forward bullocks £6 17s. DUNEDIN STOCK SALES. At Burnside IS9 fat cattle were yarded, consisting chiefly of cows and heifers. Prime bullocks realised 19s per head more than last' week, and cows and heifers sold at last week's prices.
