PALMERSTON STOCK SALES.
Messrs Abraham and"Williams report: At the Palmerston'sale yesterday we had a.good yarding.of both sheep and cattle. . Al classes of, stock met with a keen demand, and we have to report a total clearance with the exception of two:peris of cattle. -quote: Four-tooth' ewes: 13s to 14s 2d, aged ewes 5s 3d to 9s 6d, rape lambs 8s 4d, small - lambs 5s lod, rams 6s; 3yr and 4yr bulocks £7 13s, ; 2yr steers £4 to £4 15s, 18-' month steers £3 4s< cows and calves £3 10s,- fat cows £5 ss, weaners 245, ; 27s 6d to 32s Gd; bulls £2 lus to £3 10s.
Messrs Dalgety and Co. report: At our usual weekly Palmerston sale yesterday we had a big yarding of sheep and cattle, which sold at following prices: Cull lambs 4s 9d, f.m. ewes 7s, small two-tooth ewes 10s 6d, four-year ewes lis 6d to 12s Id; yearling steers 365, 18-month heifers £2 18s 6d td £3 10s. grade Holstein heifers to £2 14s, four-year bullocks £7 13s.
