At Wesley Church on Christmas I Night (Monday) there will be given a recital that should be much enjoyed by all who appreciate tbo significance of Christmas. Mr H. Temple White will render organ solos, including tho most popular items from Handel's seasonable "Messiah." The Rev. A. B. ChappeU will contribute elocutionary selections from Dickens and Robert Louis Stevenson. In addition, thero will be vocal music, making up, in ail, a most attractive programme for such ,an occasion. Mr Harre is to be congratulated -upon the results of the proficiency examination at the Waiata school, the throe lads presented, viz., Victor Lawrence, Duncan Balmer, and Andrew Melvor, all passing.
