COMMERCIAL PRIZES.
A social was held in the Technical School last night, with Mr Fred Pirani, President of tho Chamber of Commerce, in the chair, for the purpose of presenting the prizes offered by tho Chamber of Commerce for tho winners in the commercial classes. The following were the successful students: Bookkeeping (boys), Thomas Redpath; (girls), May Buchanan. Writing, George Webster. English, Isabel Pryde. Arithmetic, May Domett. Typewriting, Elsie _ Watts. Shorthand (junior), Zepherino lies; (senior), Isabel Pryde. A pianoforte duet was rendered by Misses D. Lange and E. Ward, pianoforte solos by Miss Eva Hubner aud Ray Wat-
kin; recitation by Mr Pirant; songe by -Miss Elsie Watts and Messrs L. J. Watkin and Geo. Fitzpatrick. Refreshments were provided by the girls. At the conclusion a vote of thanks was passed to the girls for arranging the supper, on the motion of young Mr Tom Jiedpath, and the same blushing orator eloquently moved a vote of thanks to Mr L. J . "Watkin, director, for his interest in the pupils.
