THE BUTTER MARKET.
The Wellington markers for butter (says the N.Z. Times) continue to show a very firm tone, and there, is no possibility ol any weakening taking place here. A notable feature of the export trade of the Dominion is the expansion of operations to Van-eo-ver and San Francisco. During October of this year S2l boxes were shipped to these places, while in November 6500 boxes .were despatched. Advices go to show tha* already for this month's shipment space ior over a)UO boxes has been engaged, and in tho ordinary course a much larger quantity will be shipped. Tho total shipment ol butter 'to tho London market during November is put down at 135,728 boxes, as against 104,400 for November last year. From prcssent indications it appears that the entire season will sec in New Zealand a position of undoubted strength. Tho total value of butter exported during November, according to the Customs records, is £202,245. It is not unlikely that a further period of dearth will exist next winter judging by the present indications.
