Madrid, December 18, The court-martial at Sueca, in Valencia, besides the former sentences, also sentenced ten more men to penal servitude for 20 years, one other for life, and others to various terms for killing a magistate and two Court officials during a riot. St. Petersburg, December 18. The Novoe Zemya sugests that! the best way to overcome the pecuniary difficulties in connecion with the Persian indemnity will be to accelerate the projected trans-Persian railway scheme under British, Russian, and French control.
