Misses Sears and Molloy, Australian missionaries, have been conveyed to Hankau, whence they will be deported to Australia, for disobeying the British Consul's orders to leave. General Chang, with 4000 rebels, attacked Chingehau. The Manchu garrison surrendered. Their lives were spared by the intercession of a Catholic missionary. The -rebels -at Shaaisi are demoralised, ixxirly armed, and are fleeing. During the flight four locomotives, which were drawing the retreating troops, blew up. The occupants of the trains fled to the hills. The Manchu have .demanded payment of arrears of wages. They stipulate that future remuneration shall bo in tho nature of pay., not Manchu bounty. Tliev also demand the opening of nil colleges and compulsory attendance of students, and tho suppressing of opium-smoking and gambling.
