The Duke of life and the Princess Royal seized Princess Maud as the boat capsized, and they were all washed shoreward* Meanwlule Bell caught ' Princess Alexandra and swam with her until iio secured a foothold. The bluejackets assisted them ashore. Rrinccss Alexandra fainted on landing. Essery and Halkett had the narrowOS teseapes.
