FRENCH BOY SCOUTS

Paris, October 27,

A meeting of the National League of Education was iheld this morning at the Sorbonne, under the presidency of the .vice-rector of the University of Paris, with the object of founding in France a similar organisation to the Boy Scouts.

The president • spoke in glowing terms of "the popularity of the movement in England, and of its beneficial effects on the youth of the nation. The French scouts will take the name of "Eclaireurs," and it is proposed to model the system on the same lines as Tn England, with the intention of inculcating a like high standard of discipline, moral integrity, and appreciation of their -duties as citizens among the members of the corps.
