MAORI ELECTIONS ON TUESDAY NEXT.

The polling for the election of members to represent the three Maori electoral districts (Hon. Mr Ngata has been elected uuoiwosed) will take place on Tuesday nexfc. There aro 11 candidates for the Northern Maori seat, including the former representative Dr. Te Rangihiroa (Dr. Buck). six lor the Western district, and six ior the Southern district. It is understood that all candidates for the Northern and Western seats are supporters of the present Government In the Southern district one candidate is opposed to the- Government's Native policy as it affects the South, but it is assumed that he is virtually a Government supporter.
