SEWERAGE CONNECTIONS.
On the proposal or the Borough Council to allow only six months to ratepayers to havo the sewer connections to their boundaries f reo of cost, the Mayor said last night that, as the result of 'this jpolicy, seventeen applications had come in within the past few weeks, by ratepayers who wished to avoid having to pay the whole cost of the connection from the sewer main. In answer to Cr Saywell, tho Mayor said tho penalty would not apply Ifco a section on which there was no building standing.
