NEW ZEALANDERS AT HOME
November 2. Ihe Hon. Huia Onslow, who has been ill for tlie past three months, as a result of an accident in Switzerland, and who underwent an operation some little time ago, is still far from having recovered.
Among tlie branches of tlie Navy League which sent wreaths for the decoration of the Nelson Column ou Trafalgar Day, were those at Wanganui. Otago, Timaru, and Canterbury. Dr. Arthur R. Andrew, a distinguished science student, of Otago University, who has been in England for some years, and his wife, who was Miss Dall, of Dunedin, have left on a trip to New Zealand.
Mrs E. A. Georget'ti, of Wanganui, has lelt for.New Zealand. Mr William H. Bryant, of Wellington who has been for the last six: months on the accountant's staff at the Crystal Palace, probably sails shortly for North Borneo, wher he has shortly for North Borneo, where he lias been offered a position Mr Wm. S. McCulloch, of "Wellington, has come to England to gain furthere business experience, and will probably stay for a couple of years. At Ashburton, in Devonshire, on Saturday week Mr Robert Bell, of Ashburton, on behalf of the prnicipal and pupils of the Ashburton Hi"h School, presented a large New Zealand ensign several photographs and copies ot The Ashburtonfaii to tie Ashburton, on behalf of the principal the oldest schools in Great Britain.
