PALMERSTON STOCK SALES.

Messrs Dalgety and Co. report: At our Palmerston sale yesterday we had a small entry of sheep and" a large entry of all classes of cattle, at prices as below: Two-tooth wethers 'to 12s 3d, weaner steers 21s to 245, weaner Jieifers 295, yearling heifers £2 19s, £3 ls to £3 ss, cows and calves £2 10s to £3 9s Gd, forward cows £4 14,s forward bullocks to £7 lis 6d. '

Tho N.Z.L. and M.A. Co. report: At Palmerston yesterday we had a good entry of cattle, which met with a fair sale. "We quote: "Weaners s, weaners (good) 41s 6d, yearling heifers (small) 51s 6d, 18-month heifers 70s, two-year steers 955, 'three-year steers (good) 1365, store cows 45s to _-_6s, empty cows 935. cows and calves 70s to 935, aged cows 4.45, fat cows 99s to 1345.

Messrs Abraham and "Williams report: For Palmerston yesterday we quote: Empty woolly ewes 10s 3d. 13s ld to 13s od; shorn two-tooth wethers 10s lid tol2s 3d, shorn two'tooth ewes to 12s ld, shorn ewes and lambs 16s lid to 28s (the last price being obtained from a line of p.b. Romney ewes and lambs), woolly hoggets 14s. On account of Mr J. -Barker: 148 yearling Polled Angus heifers £3 7s Gd, 134 P.A. steers £4, 40 Shorthorn yearling steers £3 19s, 74 2}-year P.A. steers £5, 20 2-year 'Shorthorn steers £4 6s, 90 forward P.A. heifers £4 3s to £4 Cs, 36 fat and forward P.A. Heifers £4 lis Gd, 15 Hereford Jieifers £4 10s Cd, 36 yearling Shorthorn heifers £2 19s, 2/ two-year Shorthorn heifers £3 I2s 6d. On account of Mr P. A. McHardy: 50 forward bullocks £7 13s.
