WEST STREET FOOTPATH.

A correspondent, "West Ender," writes: "Before the meeting of the Borough Council to-morrow night, I hope the Works Committee will havo a look at the'new footpath in West street. A sum of £20, out of a loan, was voted for the work, and I prefiurae this amount has been spent. But the work has been left in so unfinished a state as to make it absolutely useless, and unless it is gone on with the money spent or. it will be wasted. In one place a piece of tho sewer connection has been left oxposed. lam sure the Borough Council will be agreeable, if they have a knowledge of the job, to complete it."
