BARTON'S CIRCUS ON FRIDAY.

Barton's Circus, which is- coming from Hawera by .special trains, is to appear in Feilding next Friday night and on Saturday afternoon. Writing of a performance at Napier, a contemporary says: "The programme presented was a very good one, containing a very wide variety of items, consequently it met with undoubted approval from all sections of the big audience. Among the most notable features was the high jumping of a greyhound, clearing a height of 13ft 2iu. The musical Wetherleys contributed one of the most enjoyable turns, with comic patter which delighted the audience. Miss Marguerite, bareback rider and wire-walker, gave a clever performance, the Warren Bros, contributed a clean acrobatical display, generally known as 'The Comedy Billiard Table.' Other items included buckjumping by an Australian black, a ladder act by "Cocoa and Chico, and numerous riding performances were all of equal interest." A special engagement has been made of the Pedro Bros., aerial performers, just back from Africa, and late, of Pagel's Circus. There will be a Saturday afternoon show for the benefit of people living at a distance, starting at 2.30 o'clock. he town* hoardings (have henn well posted, and Young Feilding is anxiously awaiting the coming of the circus.
