WEDDING.
HARRIS—RILEY,
A very pretty Avedding was solemnised on Easter Monday (yesterday) afternoon, the contracting parties being Mr W. Harris and Miss H. L. Riley, both of Rongotea. The bride has for some time resided in Rongotea, and has made a large circle of friends. The bridegroom ako is highly respected by all who know him. The church was prettily decorated for the occasion by the lady workers of the church, hi which both the bride and the bridegroom have been workers, as Sunday school teachers and Mr Harris as a local preacher. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. W. Harris (father of the bridegroom), assisted by the Rev. A. H. Fowles. Miss Crag was the bridesmaid, and the duties of groomsman were carried out by the Rev. A. -0. Harris (brother of the bridegroom). The breakfast, to which a large number of guests sat down, Avas provided in the Coronation Hall. The following toasts wret proposed: "The Bride and Bridegroom,'' proposed by the Rev. A. Harris and seconded by Rev. J. Sharp; "The Bridesmaid' and Groomsman," proposed by Rev. H. Daniel, and seconded by the Rev. A. H. Fowles; "The Bride's Parents," proposed by Mr J. Glover, and seconded by Mr Bleakley; "Tho Bridegroom's Parents," proposed by Mr Fergusson and seconded by Mr S. Broadbelt. The hapnv couple were the recipients of many A r aluable and useful presents. Mr and Mrs Harris afterwards left Rongotea by motor car for Palmerston, en route for Napier. They will reside in Rongotea .
