Wheatley secured the verdict in. the mile run, covering the distance in 4.50. SAVIMMING , RECORDS. Miss Pearce won the fifty yards' ladies' swimming championship of New .South Wales in 35 1-5. Dicknian established a ; new mile professional record, covering the distance in 25min. 30 4-5 sec.., which is 37|eec. inside Nuttall's previous record. RACEHORSE OWNER'S ESTATE. London, March 26. The personalty of Mr Joseph Henry Houldsworth, racehorse owner, has been proved at £327,507. He bequeathed £200,000 to charities, mostly in Scotland, and £5000 to James Ryan, his Newmarket trainer.
